Late last week, I told my wife I had seen an unusual sign and move and believed President Trump would win his reelection bid. I spotted one of those strange “one-off” moves that signal insiders and big-money interests are moving toward a Trump Presidency.
Unusual Circumstance
In an unusual and positive move in the world of books, First Lady Melania Trump seems to have received a new endorsement and acceptance. Mrs. Trump has a new book out titled Melania. The book reached the top of the New York Times non-fiction list, a good sign for Republicans and a signal that the New York and Washington crowd is sensing a shift in sentiment. They are not stupid and want to be on the winning side more than they want to stand on principles.
The book is also doing well on Amazon.
“She lights up the room, and I think she can light up the country.”
Dana Perino
Mrs. Trump has weathered the storm of the first election and the aftermath of unrelenting attacks. She stayed above the fray in the first term and weathered personal attacks no other First Lady has had to endure in my lifetime. She showed a lot of class by never responding to criticism and putting her family first. Her focus and choices are rare and admirable in Washington, where ambition, power, and position often preceded family.
As a naturalized citizen with a Slovenian background, Mrs. Trump is the second foreign-born and first naturalized citizen to serve as First Lady. She speaks six languages fluently (Slovenian, English, French, Serbian, Italian, and German). She has been successful in her life journey and is undeserving of much of the left’s criticism.
Democrats Turn Negative
“It is not power that corrupts but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it, and fear of the scourge of power corrupts those who are subject to it.”
Aung San Suu Kyi
Nothing says desperation like a politician turning entirely negative, which has happened to the Harris campaign. The architect of that charge is often James Carville, and he is right there leading the charge to “slit the throats” of the Republicans.
“…And I think we should have, you know, gone behind him in the lines and cut their goddamn throats because that was what was at stake. I think we're literally approaching the same place right now. I'm not talking about everybody stop. Don't faint. I'm not talking about actually slitting a political opponent's throat."
James Carville
In an election where there have already been several assassination attempts, this statement by James Carville is despicable, and I would hope both Democrats and Republicans repudiate his statements. Carville may be merely using hyperbole, but some out there might take his statements literally and act on them.
And then, in more desperation, we have hatred spoken by those who fear the loss of their power.
"Donald Trump intends to cut Social Security."
“I believe Donald Trump is a danger to the well-being and security of the United States of America,”Vice President Kamala Harris
And the vilification continues in an attempt to hold onto power.
Trump Finally Turns Positive
I believe the train has left the station, and we will see a second Trump term in the White House. Many people sense this shift and are swapping their allegiance, including some Democrats who now endorse President Trump’s policies in their reelection bids.
High-profile Democrats and Republicans, including Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Elon Musk, Danica Patrick, and Riley Gaines, are now on Trump’s side. Celebrity endorsements have also started to come from people such as Mel Gibson, Paula Deen, John Schneider, Brett Favre, Victoria Jackson, Harrison Butker, Brittany Mahomes, John Daly, Kelsey Grammer, Jason Aldean, Dana White, Trace Adkins, Kid Rock, and James Wood. We are discovering that Hollywood is suddenly learning there are more than a few “celebrities” with conservative leanings.
However, it does not stop there. We now have down-ballot candidates like Senators Tammy Baldwin, Elissa Slotkin, and Bob Casey, who know their party’s policies are a loser and have signed on in different ways. For other Democrats, this comes in voting for Trump-favored legislation or trying to distance themselves from the Biden/Harris Administration quickly.
The European Connection
Another source of fear with Democrats in America is the conservative wave threatening to sweep through Europe. After years of illegal immigration, fiscal problems, erosion of historical cultures, and just WOKE nonsense, Europeans are starting to move to the right. They face the same problems as conservatives here in America.
As soon as one expresses conservative values, they are attacked as extremists, Fascists, far-right Nazis, homophobes, xenophobes, and any other defamatory label that can be heaped on the pile. Imagine living in a Scandinavian country and being told your country is “too white” by pro-immigration politicians to water down your historical culture.
Europeans are saying, “Enough is Enough,” and starting to push back to preserve their national identity and nations. I hope for an EU breakup and that the countries of Europe recognize it as a gigantic political failure. The politicians in Brussels will fight back and hang on for dear life, and their currencies are a challenge, but Europe seems to be headed toward a breakup.
Just as Americans are fed up with too much control out of Washington, Europeans are fed up with the EU. As the Russia/Ukraine War threatens to spread, and Europeans understand how their defense and spending have been mismanaged, the pendulum is swinging to the right.
The climate nonsense has just about bankrupted them all, and the politicians took scientific advice from children such as Greta Thunberg and her merry band of protestors. The “gender-affirming” nonsense is also running its course, and several countries in Europe are leading the charge to stop the insanity.
This swing will take years, if not decades. We got into this mess one step at a time and will need to get out of it one election at a time. We all must hope Europe will not descend into another world war before reason and sanity can be restored.
Our citizens and our children have given enough to straighten out Europe and dragging us into another war serves no national interest. It is not conservatives who have brought us here; it is liberals. The Biden/Harris administration has projected such weakness from day one that the world’s bad actors have had four years to create chaos. The world is full of bad actors; only strength holds them back. Dictators like Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong Un do not hold hands and sing Kumbaya around the campfire. They only respect strength, to the chagrin of the far left.
Make no mistake, the Democrats love money and power. They will lead the charge if they sense the country is moving back right. In the next election, they may go so far as to pretend they are the conservatives and the Republicans are just too liberal. It has happened before and will happen again.
Trump Riding the Wave
President Trump is, in some ways, riding this wave of conservative resurgence and, in other ways, leading the charge. His willingness to take on the established politicians and the deep state has inspired others to believe change is possible, and they are seizing the opportunity to restore order.
I am on the Trump Train and praying he gets to Washington sooner than later.
